On average this decorative products ranges from 10-50mm in size, with added fines for moisture retention and weed prevention. Black Wood Chip Mulch doesn’t break down as fast as traditional mulches, making it great for long term weed suppression and soil protection!

APPLICATION

The recommended depth for applying Black Wood Chip Mulch ranges from between 50 and 100mm, depending on your main intended use.

For purely decorative purposes it is recommended to use 50mm of Black Wood Chip Mulch across the entire garden.

The minimum depth recommended for weed control and water retention is 75mm of Black Wood Chip Mulch across the entire garden.

The optimal depth for weed control and water retention is 100mm of Black Wood Chip Mulch across the entire garden, however it is not recommended that you exceed this depth as excessive mulching can suffocate the soil.
