Mushroom Compost

Mushroom compost is an organic compost that has a diverse range of uses and makes a great addition to all types of soils. It is suitable for a wide range of plants including Fruits, Vegetables, Herbs and Flowers.

Mushroom compost is made from a various range of products used by mushroom farmers. This includes horse and poultry manure, hay, straw, peat moss, gypsum, lime, and a host of other organic materials. These ingredients are blended together and steam pasteurised to kill weeds and pathogens.

The result is a rich, clean compost that is great for use as a soil conditioner for all lawns and gardens, and is also naturally good at breaking down clay. It enriches your soil with nutrients that support plant growth, and has great water holding properties.

Despite its versatility, caution should be taken when using mushroom content due to its high salt content. This is more of an issue for salt sensitive plants such as Yuccas, Rhododendrons and Azaleas.

Mushroom Compost is available in 30 litre bags and by the cubic metre.
